In 2022 I married the love of my life, Sophie, in a Hindu ceremony.
Although our traditional priest did a wonderful job, there were some aspects that didn't feel fully true to us. I remember feeling like a bit of an impostor - hoping he would turn a blind eye to us not being a 'traditional Hindu couple'.
Now as a pandit myself, I believe you shouldn't have to pretend to be something you're not to have a cultural ceremony.
Instead, it's about crafting a tailored wedding ceremony that you two can actually connect with - and then, on the day, taking guests of all backgrounds on a journey through the rituals you’ve chosen in an engaging, inclusive way.
A more spiritual approach - honouring the traditions of family elders while focusing on the meanings behind the rituals.
Looking back, Pandit Prash really was the heart of our wedding. He created an atmosphere of warmth, joy and togetherness that set the tone for the entire day, and it is one of the things people continue to talk about weeks later

Any required travel and accommodation is passed on at-cost or at the HMRC mileage rate (55p / mile).
I also offer packages with personalised ceremony music, provided by Musical Movements. As my Official Music Partner, they'd fully integrate into our planning process and take care of all required sound setup.
INCLUSIVE
My ceremonies are led predominantly in English, with short, symbolic chants in Sanskrit, the sacred language of Hinduism. This ensures the two of you can feel fully connected to your wedding rituals, and also means all guests have the opportunity to learn about Hindu culture and spirituality in an accessible way.
RELATABLE
I adapt the commentary around the rituals to ensure it’s representative of our values today, and feels true to your personal journey as a couple. In particular, I reframe some of the more patriarchal layers around the bride ‘shifting from one household to another’, to instead position the two of you as equals.
FUN
Your wedding day is a celebration! You, along with your loved ones celebrating with you, should enjoy the ceremony as much as any other part of your wedding - for me, that means ensuring every single person feels involved, engaged and like they're actively participating.
Prash was able to combine both Indian and Scottish traditions meaningful to my husband and I, and created a ceremony that felt incredibly personal and bespoke. Both sets of parents were so impressed, felt included and could not stop singing his praises. We have had so many lovely thank you messages and nearly all of them reference how amazing Prash was!

ABOUT ME
From investment banker to full-time wedding priest, it’s been a journey!
I grew up in a Gujarati Brahmin family in North West London. While we weren’t particularly traditional, Hinduism played a big part in my upbringing in the form of cultural celebrations and family gatherings centred around religious functions.
From an early age, I learnt that religion didn’t have to mean following strict rules - it was about values, ethics, family, and celebrating love.
In recent years, spirituality has become a more central and ever-present part of my life - helping me to find creative flow, deeply connect with others, and manage my wellbeing.
After marrying my wife Sophie in 2022, I realised there was an opportunity to help other young people reconnect with Hinduism in a way that feels more relatable.
I left the corporate world (and London!) soon after - first working within Sophie’s wedding veil business, then spending 6 months full-time learning about the Hindu wedding ceremony with the help of my mentor and family elders.
Aside from officiating weddings, I can usually be found acting on stage with the Banbury Cross Players, exploring villages in the neighbouring Cotswolds, and trying to think of new ways to make Sophie smile.
Working with Pandit Prash for our wedding was a dream. My fiancée loved him from day one, and his attention to detail actually matched hers! Prash - thank you for the preparation, the patience, and the way you supported us throughout this entire process. We are so happy and lucky to have found you!
